Marshmallows

Facebook has brought me in contact with two very dear friends from college. ( So a big thank you to FB..you're not all bad at all). Since then, we've met up a few times...and thankfully time has not made us akward with each other. Proof of that....the fingers belong to SL who attempted to nick my marshmallows just because I took my own time nibbling it The mini marshmallows was a surprise drink for KS the next day...who wanted me to enjoy them marshmallows peacefully.

Would you pay this much?

I wonder when British India became unaffordable. They sneakily increased their prices when I was looking. There was a sale 3 weeks ago and I saw this incredibly loud skirt on the rack. The fit was good. It sat slightly below the waist which is what I like. And the length was decent enough for work.( Can't say the same for the bright colours though). I didn't buy it. I couldn't pay RM500 for it. It felt wrong. But what I will do, is wait for the next big sale and get it at a discounted price. Will be on the lookout.

What's known as nature's best in Langkawi

I spent the weekend at Westin Langkawi. Strictly speaking, I spent 24 hours there. Whenever one is offered a chance of a free trip out of kuala lumpur, people usually assume you're all excited and geared towards making the MOST out of the holiday. In my case, the trip meant spending two weekends away from home with laundry mounting, and clothes to be ironed. My impression of the place was marred by the food. And I might add, the beach was muddy so no romantic notions of walking along the beach with the wind in your hair ( or fringe ).

Pavillion Kuala Lumpur

The pavillion is a new shopping complex situated beside the Old Regent Hotel along Bintang Walk.It caused a bit of traffic during the months building up to the opening. I think it's been opened for a month now. Last friday, whilst in the vicinity, I took the opportunity to visit. WHat strikes you first, is the huge entrance. It drawfs anyone entering it. Parkson and Tangs are on your left...there's a couple of restaurants on the top floor..I got tired after a bit so didn't really get the chance to visit each and every floor.

lifespan of strings

I learnt something new this week, bad music from the violin can be a result of old violin strings. *count*count* My strings are 9 years old at the very least. No wonder I sound bad:) I'm changing them this week...watch this space!!!

Harry potter

Am on page 198 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Finally got around to reading it. Purchased the weekend it came out, I stashed it away for some odd reason. Didn't feel like rushing to read it but yet i knew I would eventually. So two days back, ( after finishing Evan's "a hopeless romantic, a Ms Read book and a georgette heyer's whoddunit) I picked up the book and read. Pretty interesting so far...I'm sure it'll hot up as the chapters go on. No spoilers please:)

Jim Thomson

I must be one of the last not to know who Jim Thomson is/was. He was an American Businessman who revitalized Thai's silk industry. I guess the excitment is the Malaysian link ie he went missing on Easter Sunday whilst walking in Cameron Highlands in Pahang in 1967. Loads ot theories for his disappearance.
